New season, new destinations...new adventures.

So the season is now upon us where many ships start their repositioning trips to the new season hot spots.

We, as a team, have been very fortunate and completed many of these repositioning trips as we find that they are generally great value for money and allow us all to have a couple of days, mid-Atlantic, “down time” to get away from all tech as we have no internet or other connectivity (a complete lie - but it’s a great excuse to have those precious days to be pampered and recharge our batteries!).

Many ships are heading back from the Caribbean, Asia, Australasia and the Middle East to the Mediterranean and UK, to be able to offer itineraries in Europe, Norwegian Fjords, Greek Islands, Dalmatian coast and the Baltic’s.

Further afield, the US and Canada are a starting point for Alaska and also trips to Canada and New England.

Some ships stay all year round in the same area to provide mini cruises or a different itinerary.

Many ships can only do certain trips at specific times of the year due to weather, sea state, availability of shore excursions and other factors considered for the comfort and enjoyment of the customer.

Some real favourites coming up are the Greek Islands, Dalmatian Coast, Venice and the Italian Coastline with highlights in Rome, Pompeii and Pisa.

My personal favourite is a two week trip starting in Civitavecia - travelling the Greek islands and Italy.

This year we will be heading to Alaska for a conference onboard #Celebrity and tasting the ports on offer. Following later in the year, to Thailand for a relaxation trip.

We will also be experiencing river cruising in France for the first time - which will be a working trip but I am really looking forward to the beautiful towns that we will stop in, especially Paris!

Do you have any adventures planned for this year?
